"We are a Bible-centered church, united by our relationship with Jesus Christ, transforming lives by the Holy Spirit, restoring people to wholeness, and equipping them for ministry."
Light of Christ is a church devoted to prayer. Our congregation believes in the power of intercessory prayer, because we believe in the mercy and power of Jesus Christ. We've seen Him answer again and again. If you need prayer, there are several ways you can request it.
Go to the PRAYER REQUESTS page on this website and type in your request.
Fill out the Prayer Request form included in each week's bulletin, and put it into the box located in the narthex (foyer). Requests submitted in this way are considered confidential, and are only read by a small and select intercessory team. They are never shared outside the team.
Activate our email prayer network by contacting Fr. Scott Hammond at frscott@locac.org or Becky Eckartz at eckartz@att.net. This is a fast way to get a lot of people praying in a relatively short time. We often use it to respond to quickly developing illnesses and other situations.
Request prayer during our weekly Eucharistic service. We have a dedicated intercessory prayer time each week. The service begins at 10:30AM every Sunday.
Jesus did not let him [the man from whom he had cast out demons] come with him, but said, "Go home to your family and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you."
